Why touchscreen replacements cost more
A touchscreen laptop panel costs two to four times a non-touch panel of the same size because the glass, the touch digitiser and the LCD are bonded into one sealed assembly, so when the glass cracks, the whole assembly is replaced, not just the display layer. On a non-touch laptop the LCD panel alone is swapped, which is far cheaper. If the touch function isn't essential to you, ask whether a non-touch panel can be fitted to your model instead. On some laptops it can, and it costs much less.
How to be sure you get the right panel
Two 15.6" Full HD panels can look identical but use different connectors (a 30-pin versus a 40-pin cable); fitting the wrong one gives a black screen. Bring the laptop itself, or at least its exact model number (on the sticker underneath), not just the screen size. Priscom confirms the panel against your model before ordering or fitting.
Warranty
The replacement panel carries a 30-day written workmanship guarantee against panel defects: dead pixels, lines or backlight failure that appear after fitting. MacBook screen replacement is not done in-house; Priscom receives and manages the enquiry and coordinates the repair with a third-party specialist partner.
